Christian Mindfulness Coaching
For a long time, mindfulness was getting a bad rap in Christian circles as New Agey, always Buddhist, or spiritually risky (does silence make room for the devil?).
When I started reading these interpretations online, I knew I had to get some better information out there. I had experienced a deepening of my relationship with God through mindfulness meditation (because God loves to show up when we are paying attention), and I was seeing clients experience deep, faith-integrated healing through the practice.
So I created a website, wrote some books, and started a coaching program - all related to the practice of Christian mindfulness. I wanted you to have access to the same type of spiritual and emotional healing that I had experienced.
In reality, mindfulness can be blended with any or no religion, and it is a deeply impactful way for Christians to heal emotionally while connecting with the presence of God. We read in Scripture how God invites us to get quiet in his presence and pay attention. Mindfulness Meditation is one way to create some structure around that.
If you would like to learn how to practice mindfulness meditation without doing all the deep work of therapy, Christian Mindfulness coaching is for you! There’s no in-depth paperwork or clinical interview, just a chance to learn how to meditate from a fellow traveler who has walked this road before.
Why learn to meditate? It will help you feel calmer, more connected to others, closer to God, and more content with what you have. It is a powerful tool for calming anxiety, soothing depression, and easing loneliness.
It’s time to learn how to meditate!
What to Expect
Free phone consult
We’ll start with a brief phone call. I want to make sure you’re clear on how it all works and that I feel confident I can help you. You can ask any questions that help you feel ready for mindfulness coaching.
I get it - you only want to take this step once you’ve had a chance to assess whether it will be helpful for your situation, and that’s the purpose of our call!
Initial session
Paperwork ahead of time will be very minimal, and there will be no clinical intake process. In our first session (either in-person or online), I’ll assess where you would like to begin based on what you already know about mindfulness. You’ll get information, experience a guided practice, and get your questions answered.
You’ll leave with suggested practice, specific tools, and clear next steps.
Ongoing sessions
Most coaching clients choose to meet for approximately 4 sessions (typically weekly), with plenty of flexibility available to structure the frequency and duration in whatever way works best for you.
Once you feel ready to wrap up, you may choose to try out my online Christian Mindfulness 101 class or even transition into therapy. Or, you may choose to simply apply what you’ve learned from coaching on your own. It’s up to you!

I’ve written a lot about this at The Mindful Christian, a website dedicated to equipping Christians for this spiritually-enriching practice.
Books on Christian Mindfulness
One book for adults seeking to understand the integration of Christian faith with mindfulness, based on a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) approach.
Another book for teens who would benefit from a devotional resource blending Scripture, reflection, and mindfulness practices.
Both were a labor of love, and I hope you find something there to guide your way!
